German Lotto 6/49 is one of the oldest and richest European lottery games. It currently pays out up to EUR 2.8 Billion to lottery players annually. The German Lotto 6/49 follows the traditional lottery draw-style, lotto jackpot game offered since 1974.

Starting with a guaranteed EUR 1 million, the average jackpot won in the German Lotto 6/49 has been EUR 5.24 Million. Like most lotteries, the top prize increases with a roll over of prizes every time that the jackpot is not won.

With twice weekly draws held on Wednesdays and Saturdays, the German Lotto 6/49 has a great reputation for a lively increase in prizes. The largest jackpot prize in the German Lottery was EUR 45 million won in December 2007.

How it Works:

The German Lotto is a double-matrix draw of 6/49 and 1/9. Each ticket combination is composed of 6 numbers from a pool of 49, and another number from a Super Number pool of 10. The winning ticket has to match the 6 numbers drawn from 49, and the Super Number. There is also an Additional Number from 1 to 9, which is used for category 3, 5 and 7.

To Play German Lotto 6/49, you need to select 6 numbers from 1 to 49. You have the option of picking your own numbers for each play, or request them to be randomly generated for you by choosing the "QuickPick" option.
